6mm Creedmore bushing die for 22 Creedmore?

Redding makes a bushing die for the 6 mm CM but not the 22 CM.

Anyone using a 6 mm bushing die to size a 22 CM?

Yes, no problem. You are changing the neck diameter, not the case. That's the die I use to do what you are asking.

Can a person start with a 6.5 creed die and use it for the 6mm creed and 22 creed just by changing bushings? I think so but I want to ask the guys that are doing it to be sure.

ok, I don't understand how that works. I know it's being done but, .264" hole we start with where the neck meets the case shoulder correct? Then size it down to .224" What happened to the .040" of shoulder that the original .264" had? Is it unsupported by the die but it works ok any way ? I have necked "up" .223 to 7mm, but never the other way.

Pretty much.

The OP is talking about a 6 Creed not a 6.5 Creed. You don't change the angle of the shoulder. The shoulder is the same, (30*) for the 6.5 Creedmoor,6 Creedmoor and the 22 Creedmoor. About the only thing you need to do is turn the necks after you down size the necks.

Thanks, and then fire forming would clean up the rest ?

Yes, as long as they’ll chamber. I’ve had problems under certain circumstances, that when necking down entirely with Redding bushing dies, the amount of neck that the bushing does not touch has been too much to allow a case to chamber. Strait full length dies are the best to use for necking down. I will use a Forster bushing/bump die sometimes. The bushings in them will size almost all the way down to the neck shoulder junction.
