McMillan stock question

Can anyone tell me on a mcmillan A-3 long action, approximately how ling the fore end of the stock is? IE minim barrel length is 16 inches for a rifle, how far would the muzzle stick out from the front of the stock with a 16 inch barrel?

Depending on your accuracy need for length, if you know the overall length of the stock, figure a length of pull of 13.5” and subtract that from the overall length. The remaining length could be used to measure from your trigger shoe forward to approximate the barrel overhang. Hope this helps.

Not sure how much difference th A3 is however I have a 32 inch Savage stock, measuring from the front of my short action a 16 inch barrel would extend 4.25
