For future reference,,,will a 722 action fit in 40x stock???

A 722 has a straight bolt, not swept. Early 40X rimfire stocks had a bolt relief that was straight. Later 40X stocks have the swept relief like a 700. Nothing a little file won't fix but it does look a bit odd.

I’ve put the older 722 based 40-X in 40-X(B) and 700 stocks. And vice versa. If I must have a safety I have a bottom safety Jewell that will work on all 722 based actions.
