No I don't believe the grizz. is endangered. Fact is I would like to see them hunted again here and in BC so that maybe they fear man again. Here in Alberta a gun shot is like a dinner bell to them, and its getting more prevalent all the time. I wouldn't hunt them, have no desire, but wish that they were so that there weren't some many around. More and more incidents each year, and our gov. says they are endangered. This generation of grizz. in Alberta has never been hunted! It's time. Don't like to fish the mountain streams anymore, because I'm all ways looking over my shoulder.

Speaking of wolves, we're setting bout 15 miles off the southwest border of Crater lake national park as I type this.
Helped a rancher pull a cow we found buried in mud. Anyhow, ODFW is going to the ranchers spread in the morning to count and burry all the bones left from the wolf kills.
Now I know for a fact that there never was an initiative on any ballot I cast that had anything to do with the reintroduction of these WORTHLESS predators.
I pray the cow makes it.

Yeah, I just read our local paper about the three new wolf kills near Fort Klamath. We're all so happy around here to have such a healthy and active wolf pack in the area. We're starting to see more elk right down around K Falls, and the wolves may be the reason. jd

Nor did I vote for any here in WA state ,it was done by the feds and local liberal govt. and these wolves they sought to introduce are the same as the northern grey as in Canada bigger badder than the smaller cousins that once were native here ,now the bigger question what can we do to stop the spread of this super predator ......

We're gonna be heading to your side of the hill next month for coyote.
The rancher has cows on free range 25 miles from here to the west of Butte Falls, and knows of a black 1 over that way.
When you did your tag reporting last year, did you have to do a identification test on wolves vs coyote? I did, and got a few wrong too.

A supervisor read the statements, launched an investigation and both were fired. One had 29+ years on the job, and planning his retirement the other 15+. All over some venting on FB.

We got to watch this mom and yearling cubs catching salmon in the Spasski River near Hoonah, AK back in September. The big male eventually showed up and sent the cubs running for safety. Hearing the mother bear roar at the male sent chills up my my spine. They are truly impressive animals!
