They didn’t have the individual matches posted unfortunately for Sunday- just Saturday....

Looks like an incredibly small turnout this year - especially for F Open. Lots of the regular participants missing. Were there questions regarding this match happening following damage to the range that suppressed turnout?

I was registered, loaded up and ready to go until the hurricane hit the Panhandle. Made the decision to forego and attend the Snowbird in December only to find out later it is no longer going to be held. Very disappointed in both decisions.

Attendance at the Florida state championship matches has been declining steadily since they were re-instituted back in 2011 or 2012. I am sure it is not one single factor. I would love to know what those factors actually are.

Some of the blame is surely mine. I did not begin marketing the matches soon enough. My excuse this year is fairly legit though. I had a heart attack in June. So I was a bit distracted from worrying about rifle matches.

First, good to hear you are doing well. Second, Thanks for all you and Chip do to make these matches “happen “. Third, thanks again for clearing up the schedule with the name change for the Winter match.(making arrangements to attend right after posting this).

For those that have not shot matches at Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club it is a Premier facility now utilizing Silver Mountain Electronic Targets. The match organizers, directors and participants are as good as it gets in the shooting sports. Last, who doesn’t want to get out of the winter doldrums and come to balmy Florida and enjoy the warm weather and great competition in December?
