Bore Tech Eliminator - Opinions

My son-in-law put me onto this stuff. He went through the Barrett armour's course since he owns several of their guns.

He says that Barrett had tested every product on the market and picked this stuff as the only product they reccomend for their weapons. Use anything else and you void the warranty on their barrels. They have also rebranded it with their name on it.

I also use the rimfire blend in my RFBR rifles. Works great also.

What is the products name now?

I had a sweet Anschutz in 17 hmr, All I used was bore tech and it destroyed my barreled action I sent it back to Anschutz and they replaced the barreled action after giving me a cussing on how bad the condition of my rifle was,I would clean after 25 to 30 rounds and even using a possum hollow bore guide it ate up my trigger and pitted my barrel so badly now I am out $1080 dollars I will never use their products again

my local gunshop who is also a gunsumith and competitore put me on to bore tech products. Bore tech eliminator works! follow their directions. Stop worrying.

None of these guns are getting junked from remotely proper care. Use your solvents and follow up with a kroil/type oil to clean out the solvents and rub gun down with your fairy dust oil closest to your heart and watch the corrosion disappear.. Bing bam boom

BoreTech Eliminator is indeed effective. We also found that is it NOT friendly to fire control parts, and can cause rapid corrosion of some metals. Make sure you keep this stuff out of your bolt and trigger group. I think there are equally effective products that are less hostile to your action's interior.
Wouldn't the use of a good Bore Guide help to "keep this stuff out of your bolt and trigger group"?

Another great bore tech product is their chameleon gel. It removes carbon and copper and also has a non embedding abrasive in it to clean that hard to remove carbon. It also shows blue if copper is present. I’ve used it a lot and my only complaint is that it tends to dry if worked too long in the barrel, so repatch often
