Placed an order for a stock seven months ago. Sent many emails for a status report on my order, none answered. They took my money. Do you think I've been taken?

No, you will eventually get your stock it may take another 7 months though.
Never bring your business to SSS, they don't care, there are plenty of other shops will appreciate your business.
Call your credit card company and get your money back, that's what I did and never look back.

When I ordered mine they said 3-4 months. I got it in about 15 months....

I cant see how they ever get an order. You cant swing a cat around and hit somebody thats ever been satisfied

Hopefully their both in good health and retired from the business. They did a fantastic job for years but in recent years seems they have just lost interest in what really counts...Good customer service. Wish them the best as they definitely helped me in my quest for great Savage accuracy in the past.

SSS products I've seen are really good it's just a shame.

Customer care and customer service is the real issue here. Not work quality. We all can agree on this. When the first one goes south, the rest is irrelevant. They have lost that first and most important aspect of running a successful business. Like I said earlier, I wish them luck in whatever it is they are doing next. The previous endeavor has long been buried.

The only transaction I've had with them that resulted in a sale was about five years ago. It was a stock that they had on hand, and she said they'd ship in 3 days....it was actually three weeks, but I did receive it. I know I took a chance and was fortunate, but would never do it again based on their track record.

I have had them time and true several Savage actions and purchased the evolution trigger. All went well.
I call Lisa and discuss my project, asking when is the best time for them to receive it, and when it should be completed.
I'm happy to say it has worked well.

IIRC, Sharp Shooter Supply "use to" do their own stocks. Passed it off to another dealer and are now stuck are in the middle when they can't get the product they order.
Do you know who produces the Low Profile Benchrest stock for SSS? Or maybe another co. that makes a similar stock for a Savage mod12 short action? I called my credit card co. today to cancel the order.
