Question on storing your rest and rear shooting bag

I am starting to gather up my items for bench shooting I was able to buy a nice used shooting rest from a member here. Bald eagle bottom and shadetree top. Have a nice Plano case for the rest. Rest with joy stick fits real good in case with the foam pieces around it. Rest does not move ecialncontsiner tonkeep it in good shape or just throw it in truck with your other shooting supplies. at all when I am picking up and moving it.
I have some room in the case that will fit my Protektor bumble-bee rear bag with built carrying Handel. But not much room. I might be too protective of my new $148.00 rear Protektor bag ( say that 10 times in a row ha ha ).
Just wondering if you Shooter’s keep your rear rest in a box or Do you shooters try to keep your rest clean as possible and inna bix if some sort. Thanks. Marty

I think I may be trying to keep mine to nice. Ha ha ha. Thinking about a little plastics Walmart tackle box for $6.00. Thinking it might ride a little loose in the Plano box that I have rest in. My luck I would get the bag cut somehow laying next to rest. Ha ha. Marty

What ever you decide to do with your rear bag ( My big a$$ Edgewood lives in a Dewalt power tool bag ) think about letting it live sitting flat and not rolling around in your car trunk. The bumping and vibration with help your bag get and stay settled. Just be sure to check it for proper fill before matches ect. because of the leather stretching to where it wants to be.

Regards
Rick

Ok. Looks like you guys also try to protect your rear rest as much as possible. I was afraid I might get flamed for my question. When I was a little I was always the kid that took good care of his toys. Ha ha ha ha.
Paid off on my baseball cards , sold them for a few thousand dollars a few years ago. Thanks again for your advice. Marty

I am like you,I like to keep everything safe and sound .I treat my rear bag just like I do my gun or rest . Sometimes I think being so anal about this stuff is a curse , but I always know my gear is in top shape .

Action packer from the automotive section at walmart. Itll be up on the top shelf where all the good stuff is
+1 on these... I have used them for years. I had no idea what they were called until I googled what Dusty posted. I have used them in my trucks since they came on the market, they hold up in the sun and temps from 30 below zero to 100 .

I think you borrowed that photo from “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”:D:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Never mind. I blew up the photos. That’s a hack job. The drywall is unfinished and unpainted!:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:eek:

Fantastically organized, tho!;)

Yes I bought a shell car hauler from GA and upgraded it to 5200lb axles. I completely rebuilt the inside adding unsulation, ceiling, A/C and Heat in a central air unit. I ran electrical outlets down left sude and compressed air down the right side. I added propane inside and out just in case, power levelers underneath, 12v service inside to charge phones etc..., 12v charger inside,20170728_210317.jpg 20171126_173922.jpg 20170728_210317.jpg 20170728_210317.jpg 20171126_173922.jpg 20171215_172833.jpg installed all the cabinetry and workbenches with vises, TV, 30/50 Amp service from shore power or it carries twin Honda generators, two computers, printers, scanners in there. Yes I sleep in it in luxury oversized cot with a matress. It all folds up and stores. I do travel and I precharge my loads, up to 300 of them so I dont have to carry my high end scale around on the road. I can weigh powder if needed but I usually know what I am using ahead of time. I can prep brass, turn necks, anneal, size, charge and seat all while out. I carry multiple rests, rear bags, mats, rifles, cleaning supplies, 8 spare barrels, tools to do just about any gun work besides machineing which we do here at home. It is open to whomever needs it when I am at a shoot, all I ask is to treat is as your own. Many of competitors have used it and thats my way of giving back. There are extra rifles and rests, bags, ammo, etc... in there just in case someone needs to get by or wants to learn.
