Need new Single Stage PRess

So I broke my Single Stage Press. It was a 50 year old press...worked nicely. I try to load the most precise ammo I can. Any suggestions on a press? I have been looking at the Hornady Lock and Load and Iron Press. I like the idea of not needing to screw down the die each time to get the right measurements.

Thoughts? Anything better?

Had an old Redding Single Stage Press. I didn't really have any issues with it, its the only press I've ever used...did the job. Don't know what I liked/disliked. One thing I hated was having to figure out the depth to screw in my dies each time. Wasted a good 10 minutes each time getting it right

Make sure you check out the MEC Marksman. It is a very good press.

Various brands of presses can be converted to the lock n load system. The iron press appears to be a very good choice.
I started out with a Lee and it still works well. but my attention has been drawn to the Redding T7 and Lyman 8 station turret.

I like my old Rock Chucker that I have converted to Lock-N-Load.

I got a lee classic turret I could part with. Screw down the dies once in the turret and leave em set. Then just change out the turret.

Lee Classic Cast......The little red one.....Under $120. on Amazon delivered. It will do as good of a job as any. If you like older stuff that is no longer made try to find a Hollywood Senior. I was fortunate enough to come by a pair of them a while back and the " cool" factor of those speak to the "American Picker" in me.

I really like the Forster Coax. You may want to check them out. They're a little pricey but but it is simple, everything floats for straighter rounds, and the primer seating system is very consistent, seating them with the correct pressure every time. Check it out if you haven't already.

I always hated screwing dies in and out. The coax spoiled me -just slide them in and out of the slot. I Would not want to be without a single stage though for chores like decapping, bullet pulling , expanding ect.

Make sure you check out the MEC Marksman. It is a very good press.

This is my next press as well, Mec makes really nice stuff just ask any shotgun reloader...

I have a Hornady Lock and Load. It has worked well for me. One thing I don’t like about it is that the decapped primer goes out the side of the ram. It makes everything dirty. I would recommend any press that ejects the spent primer down the center of the ram

I have an RCBS rock chucker sitting here doing nothing. PM if you're interested. It is a later version and works fine, just moved on to a T7 Redding. I'm in Florida and have shot so many clays around the country it seems like my shoulder still zings.

I'm liking the rock checker loaned to me from my brother in law when mandrel broke on my Lee. Still use lee for decapping bullet pulling.
Rock Chucker is smoother.
Lee has upgraded their mandrel

I like my COAX but work flow is a little slower compared to my hornady single stage. Both nice presses that do what I need.

Surprised nobody ever mentions the lyman orange crush. Probably my favorite mainstream market press of all time. Has a priming attachment that actually works pretty decent if youre into that type priming.
