Nesika bolt firing pin problem

I have a Nesika action, J0093, and only half my rounds fire. There is a light strike on the primers, some go off, some don't. Is there a firing pin assembly that will work in this bolt? Everything else has been checked and tried. The firing pin does protrude .060 but a very light strike.

Dave, I had the same experience several years ago with an early Nesika. Finally completely disassembled the bolt and removed the firing pin from the assembly that it screws into. There was a significant deposit of congealed oil and crud all around the fringing pin assembly. A thorough cleaning and reassembly and it shot fine. I hope this helps solve the problem. John Kruzan

I have a early Nesika that I had the exact same problem with. I got a new firing pin spring and all problems went away. Rifle has shot excellent since.

Had a Model K with same issue. Everything checked good and it was clean. Ended up sending the gun back for service and they changed the whole fire control system. Worked fine afterwards. Never was told exactly what the issue was.

I would check your head space first. I have 8 Nesika's from the early 1980's to 2017 and have not had any issues yet.

I want to thank everyone for the help provided. Nesika got back to me and will call me next week since their gunsmith is on vacation.

Headspace was perfect. Cases only partial neck sized so they fit as they should and not pushed back.
