Loads for 123gn Amax in .260Rem

Hi everyone

I’m looking use up some 123gn Amax projectiles I have lying around in my .260Rem for a PSR style comp, which is only going out to 600yrds Max. I also want to use up some varget (Australian AR2208).

Does anyone have a good load on hand using Varget with this weight and type of projectile?

Rifle is:
Tikka action
26” 1:8tw Hardy med Varmint profile.

Thanks in advance

I had a 24" Criterion 260 barrel on a Savage for a long time that shot the 123's better than 140's. I ran the 123 Amax at 2935ish with 39.3 gr Varget in Lapua brass, don't remember the jump though. Did very well out to 1K yards. This is the internet so work up load data carefully!

Thanks everyone
I’m going to start at 38gn and go from there. These will be seated at mag length so I won’t be spending time establishing a seating depth preference.

I have shot the lighter projectiles to pretty good effect out of this barrel so I’m confident I will get decent result. It’s PRS type comp 600yds and under, nothing super demanding.

Thanks again

There will be no need for pushing a 123 too hard at 600 yards. It's a chip shot for that bullet in a 260. You'll find exceptional accuracy in your set up.
