You are a bitter, bitter old man hog, you will own a pair of 511 pants someday, and I'll be there to snap a few pics for the web. lmaoThe super duper, gotta have, sniper wannabe 338s didn't fare too well either.![]()

I'm going to drive out and visit you, maybe get you in a pair of krye pants, uber tight under armour shirt, some ray ban aviators and we are going to shoot a few hogs, and yes, I will make you shoot with a bipod.LMAO
I'm so old I didn't know what 511 pants were until I just googled it and oh, it's five POINT one one, not 511. I really didn't care for them. I'm going to wait for the next version, maybe 5.21s or 5.31s? Then I'll be up for some pics.![]()

We'll be like a sniper team! I desperately want to hear you say "Send it"I don't think that pic would be suitable for a family site and wearing that stuff would scare the hell out of the hogs. They'd run to the hole and wait to hear an engine restart.
Haven't shot off the bipod for awhile, need to practice.![]()
Now that there is funnyWe'll be like a sniper team! I desperately want to hear you say "Send it"

Screw 2500 yards you can easily go 25 miles with that rig.My preferred rifled tube for Super Duper Extra Looooong Range shooting.View attachment 1057022
Looking at taking a course soon have the rifle need the rest looking for some suggestions.
This is the write up of the course.
“The Precision Rifle Level III is where all your knowledge, experience and training is pushed to the next level. This course is about extreme long range, and is heavy in advance theory of long range shooting, and gives the students the skills to engage targets out to ranges which normally aren’t attainable. Our range has steel targets from 200 to 2500 Meters, so we can push you and your rifle as far you’re capabilities will allow. Below are several topics that you will cover.
I was considering the Leupold I Mark 5 HD 5-25x56. However after reasearching the living crap out of it. Not available in Canada(or at least I couldn’t find it). Even the Mark 6 mount is ITAR restricted.
- Theory of long range rifles
- Advanced ballistics
- Skill of reading wind
- Advanced long range field firing exercises
- Long range spotting exercises
- Integrated use of ballistic computers, laser range finders, wind meters.”
So here we go the rifle is a Trued Remington custom shop 700 Sendero 1-9 twist 7mm rem mag,HS- Precision stock(bedded), Fat bastard break and triggertech trigger. I have been toying with the idea of a 40 MOA NF rail with a 20moa NF unimount. Sightron SIIILR MD/CM 8-32x56. Handloadeds consisting of 168gr Bergers (open to suggestions on this as well).
If you were me what would you put on this rifle? I want to hit out to 2500meters. Ultimate goal cold bore 2500.Open to any Ideas or suggestions. The less I spend on optics/mounts the more I can spend on brass and RL components. 400 rounds needed for this course.
Thank you
I disagree so much with this. How tough is it to hit steel at a mile with 7 mag? You take a coarse, shoot in one direction, maybe even the same wind pattern for 2-3 days. All you've done is pissed away money, people learn a heck of a lot more when they figure something out on their own. Even if something happens on a day, and there is no answer, later on you'll revert back to it and a light comes on.
This course starts at 200 yards. If his system is not capable of going farther than 1,500 than that's what he'll get out of it. Just because the course offers up to 2,500 yards doesn't mean he has to have a system capable of such feat.
Any idea on cost?
