.20 TACTICAL

For those that still use a brush in cleaning, have you had any problems getting a brush to fit the bore? My Montana Xtreme brush provides hardly any resistance at all...I can push it through with two fingers on the end of my Bore Tech rod. A 1" square patch is much tighter. I thought maybe I had a .17 cal brush but these .20 cals measure just under .200" so they should be the right size.

my wore out brushes measure .204, new tipton is .209 and pro-shot measures .215. sorry don't have a Montana extreme to measure

The other option would be to use a worn out 22 cal brush.

chuckshooter,

Thanks to all for measuring their brushes. I ordered some Pro-Shot brushes as I use their patches and have dealt with them before.

BoreTech Nylon brushes in 20 Cal work just fine. LDS

Just to follow up, I bought a Bore-Tech nylon brush and a Pro-Shot bronze brush. The Montana Extreme nylon and Bore-Tech nylon brushes are way too loose.....no resistance. I could reverse either one half way down the barrel. The only one to provide "normal" resistance was the Pro-Shot....go figure!

I have 20 cal BoreTech brushes that are sufficiently tight. Definitely could not reverse them. I would call BoreTech and ask for replacements.
