I will eventually be buying a better stock and possibly gun BUT as my first year I'm just toying around and practicing... I have the chance to get a wood R700 stock for practically free ($40+long drive). My plastic one now worries me because when on the bipod I can bend the action back and forth quite easily. I took the advice of people here and stopped using the bi-pod and some other things to improve my shooting, all of which have been a success of measurable impact on target. My question is, could there be an improvement in accuracy by devcon 10110(I have some on hand) bedding my action into the wooden R700 stock? I would imagine that it would help and is worth a try but not certain, I'll probably be doing it anyway, just debating if the drive is worth the potential benefit.
