I made a spreadsheet using Bryan Litz bullet data from one of his books to research bullet seating depths for the 6XC, do to so many different reamer prints I have looked at. If I change the cartridge length to a 6BR with a .113" free bore I show the following:What free bore for 70 gr blitzkings, and 75 to 87 Vmax? Will I reach the lands with a 87gr vmax and a .113 freebore ?
I think people have gone crazy on these stupid long freebores trying to avoid the donuts. When they should just go to bigger necks.
No matter how thick the neck is a donut can still form.
I have a .060 freebore and 75 Gr Vmax's work well.I was sure the '113 was too long for the bullets I want to shoot, the only reason I asked about .113 freebore is that reamer is available off the shelf from grizzly no wait. A custom reamer is 6 to 10 weeks out. Based on reading some old threads people were recommending free bores for varmint bullets from 0 to .080. So I am fishing for someone that shoots one of the bullets I listed at a known freebore that can tell me it shoots great,or it doesn't, do not want to re invent the wheel.
