Die question

New to reloading so dumb question. I found a three die set of RCBS .44 mag dies , the box is marked SWC which I am assuming means semi wad cutter, can I not load jacketed bullits with these dies...thanks!

Yes, but the seating stem may not match the profile of the jackets bullets very well. It may deform them. Just give it a try and see how it does until you can get the proper seating stem. Worth call RCBS.

The only issue would be with the bullet seating die. The seater stem or screw has a profile which is different for different types bullets (semi wad cutter, round nose, etc.). I would call RCBS and tell them what you have and ask them about an additional seater stem for the type of bullet you want to use. They will be glad to help and may even give you one free. It won't be expensive in any case.

^^^^My carbide set came with both seating stems.
Haven't had a 44 mag in 15 years and I don't see one in my future.
Shoot me your address in a pm n I'll send them to you.
Should only cost me $7.50- $10 to ship.
I've only loaded 4-500 rounds with them.
Dies are in great shape.

got anything else you aren't using?:D:D:D

I lucked out with my seater stem. It was for SWC but the hollow points I was using had a narrow point and worked perfectly.
