i have seen one in my travels and he is an f class that shoot br for fun. yes i gave seen a couple in results, but few and far between.

I think what your trying to tell us is your 308 doesn’t perform well at 1K. Your 6BR does if the wind isn’t to bad. Your shoulder hurts from previous injuries so recoil is a factor. Your looking for a a very accurate caliber/cartridge with light recoil using a 308 bolt face. Aren’t we all?
The 7MM’s rule the 1K line now but they kick. The 6MM’s (Dasher, BRX, 6XC, 6CM etc) are better in the wind due to velocity. So what’s left? I suggest one of the 6.5’s. The 6.5CM or the 260 Rem. High BC bullets, less recoil than the 308 lots of proven loads, easy to tune.
