6BRXI am happy with my 284-Win for 600 and 1000 yards, but particularly more so for 1000 yards. For 600 yards I would like to try something different, such as one of the 6mm cartridges. Several of my shooting friends shoot and enjoy great success with some of these; namely, the 6mm BRX, BRDX, Dasher, and TAC40.
I understand that the final successful performance will be highly dependent on me, but I would appreciate if you would share your insights on these cartridges; primarily, pros and cons not only in shooting performance, but also in producing these rounds.
Thanks!
Alex
PLEASE NOTE:
To avoid confusion and make it easier as to whom I am, I have changed my user name from Nando-AS to Alexander-M. Nando was my nickname as a youngster, and it should be easier to identify me by my proper name, Alexander, now that I am a little older.

Its going to be available from Norma dealers this fall. Grafs posted on other threads about it.Where would you anticipate sourcing brass on an ongoing basis now that Bullets.com is going out of business?
You really need to decide what you want. Saying "for sure at 600 yards, and maybe 1000" doesn't help. I love my 6BR for 600 yards but not 1000yards. If you want to shoot at 600 yards and 1000 yards get a rifle that you know is good for both. How do you plan to see "how it compares with my current 284-Win rifle"?I will be using the new BOLT rifle for F-Class matches; for sure at 600 yards, and maybe at 1000 depending on how it compares with my current 284-Win rifle.
8 twist 243win why reinvent the wheel?

I really like my 6.5x47, it works great at both 600 and 1000 yards.I only see one mention of the 6x47 Lapua. Anyone have good or bad experiences with it for his wishes?
