How is the Forster press built in primer seater?

it would be a dumb question to ask if anybody has this press, so knowing most do, it the primer seater devise on top accurately seat primers or don’t waste my time setting it up and get a hand held?

Looking for specific feedback on Forster press primer seater on top only

It works easy enough and seemingly is easy to repeat the same pressure. It is a feel thing.

I use mine... it’s not very fast, but I’m neither a high-volume nor high-Speed kind of guy when reloading.

If you need to save the money to get some other necessary piece to load with by all means use it. If not get a nice priming tool like a 21st century and be done with priming tools forever.

Its a fine piece thatll never need upgrading unlike most reloading equipment

This. I have a Co-Ax press and did not like the priming tool. Too much mechanical advantage.

Bought a 21st Century and have been very, very happy with it.

I've been using mine about 2 years and I like it. I bought both the RCBS Universal Hand Priming Tool and the Frankford Arsenal Perfect Seat hand primer (both great tools), but trying to prime 100 cases really wore my forearms out. So I prefer the slower Forster Co-Ax with it's mechanical advantage over the quicker but more labor intensive hand primers. Also it doesn't mention it in the instructions, but you can adjust the seating depth with the Co-Ax by backing the primer holder in/out.

I bought one of those bald eagle priming presses from bullets.com about a year ago and I love it. Very easy to use, doesn't take up a whole lot of space and the ability to adjust seating depth of primers is very nice. I like it much better than priming from the reloading press and it's definitely easier on the hands and forearms than the hand primer tools.

I found this to be very true in my world as well.

It’ll work as others have said. Slow, tedious and touching each primer is required. Will never wear out.

21st has a big following but I really enjoy my RCBS bench primer. Can use Dillon primer tubes with the RCBS if you have a Dillon progressive press also.

Never used mine. I normally prime all my cases with the RCBS priming tool while watching tv.

I had the ram priming die from RCBS. Worked just like a regular die. After determining the absolute correct depth, lock it down and never look back. BUT, it is a PITA to use with handling of each primer required. If you are a bear in your basement or wherever loading den, it is great. If not, go with a handheld one which can be used in absolutely ANY room in the house and is great if you multitask.

IMHO,
I've owned some of the finest priming tools that money could buy, or so I was told, and I still found myself priming on my Forster Co-Ax. I do like the Ultra Precision unit from 21st Century(Great guy to deal with!) and have one in my tool box, however, I would not trade the Forster press top priming unit for that tool. When you get into "crush", which I don't do, it likely likely has something to offer. I, generally being the simplistic sort, have tried to seat the primer and avoid "crush"... Live and learn. That being said the only Gucci Priming Tool that I have kept has been the 21st Century Tool. The rest have gone on to better homes...
