Texas State LR - Day 2 and final results

It was great seeing you also. I wish I could have stayed behind after the matches and gone with you guys to eat and trade sob stories but my daughter was always tired after pulling and needed to go home ASAP.
Well Denys, I did not go to the Burger Barn either. I was tired and had a mere 18 road hours ahead of me! I chose to start rather than eat and start later! LOL!!!

That was a extremely well run match with great staff and shooters!! I had an awesome time all weekend!....that last relay was a dandy, it certainly shook up the leader board except for Larry B.....he was solid all weekend. Congrats Larry! Congrats to the rest of winners as well.

Congrats to all the winners... From what it sounds like, it's well deserved!

I've definitely need to make this match in the near future, especially with the names on the roster that attend and how well the match is run!

You'd enjoy this championship match Mike, good folks there with very tough competition every year on a tricky range. Fun fun fun........:)

Here are a few of the pictures I took. The first one under the cover of the 1000yard firing line.

This one is from the 1000 yard firing line looking at the targets.

The number panels you see at the end are 12 feet high.

DSC_0835_ann.JPG Here's an annotated picture of the range that illustrates the report I wrote up yesterday. On the left, you see the road taking a hard left at the 600 yard line and the going on to the target line. On the right, I indicated where the tree line stops at the 600 yard line and the rest of the way to the target line is wide open, right at the tip of the arrow.

Here is another great vlog from @Erik Cortina :

video footage at the range and some interviews with the winners...
Thank you to the Bayou rifle club for running a great match. You all put a lot of work into your matches and they're always top notch and this was no exception. I also wanted to give a big shout out to SG Rifles and specifically Speedy G. who built my rifle. His attention to detail, knowledge, and willingness to share his experience to help you shoot better is off the charts. Thank you Speedy! Congrats to the rest of the winners and competition also. Great people and great competition.

Yep Speedy doesn’t mind telling you what you need to know to help you to become a better shooter and his craftsmanship in my honest opinion is the best there is.
