Shooting My First FT/R---What to Bring?

Another thought that occurs to me:

Put your name on your stuff, where practical... chair, mat, scope/ cover, etc...

I'm not suggesting there are people that will steal your stuff, but just as inevitably as you will forget to bring something, you will likely forget to pack up something for the trip home.

I left a nice chair at a range, and didn't get back there for another 5-6 weeks; never did find it. But it was a common, Cabela's chair without any ID.

An unpopular ugly colored shooting mat that cannot be confused with another's...so when you see it left on the line at the end of the day you know it is yours! I bought an obnoxious purple one on clearance from Midway for $29 and I did not see another until the Bergers:mad:. And then @TerryH shows off his:(. I guess I'll find a metallic lime green one when mine wears out:rolleyes:.

Disclaimer- NO PIMPS were harmed in the making of my shooting mat.

You forgot the most important thing your Mother taught you ..... where a clean pair of underwear! Good luck at the match, tell us how you did.
:):):)

Pgh Pappy

lol... Get with the plan man. There were 2 purple, 1 pink, 1 red with yellow flames, 1 robin's egg blue just at the club match. :D I have lots of purple things. Shirts, hats, jackets, golf carts, shoes, iPhones, etc... I had a purple dragster, purple boats, cars you name it.

Mine is hot pink! $14 delivered from midway a couple of years ago. Nobody confuses it with theirs...

Once you know which match you are going to, post where you will be -you might be able to hook up with someone to help you get started/take some of the pressure off.

Thankfully I have a buddy that competes a lot (successfully) that I'll be going with.

The next Cumberland match is Mother's day. I'll be there. Just got clearance from the wife.
