105gr Berger Hybrid Availability

I use 105gr Berger Hybrids in my 6mm Dasher, and supply is running low, haven't been able to find any retailers with any in stock, and I've heard Berger is moving and availability is going to be tough for a while till they get back up and running and can start catching up on the backlog. I've looked at cheaper production BTHP's like the Hordady, Sierra, or Nosler 105's but haven gotten the same accuracy and don't want to waste my barrel life on bullets that won't shoot as well. Don Lahr, Barts, and other custom bullets usually cost twice as much, and take a long time to get. Anyone know where I can find some Berger Hybrids in stock, or recommend a comparable bullet to hold me over.

Watch the classifieds on here often, they show up but go fast. I saw 400 for sale yesterday morning. Troy

Shoot the Sierra 107's or 110's. They seem to be just as good a bullet and easier to get your hands on. I've got buddies shooting them and are speaking very highly of the new pointed versions consistency...meaning they aren't sorting like you used to have to do if you ran Sierras.

I'm aggravated enough with Berger over the supply and lack of communication that I believe that is what I'm going to try next. An example of a big corp ruining a mom and pop as I see it...I'm sure some will disagree.

JD,

I took a quick look at midway. Midway had the Berger 105 Hybrid listed for $42.99 so basically 430.00 per 1000 plus shipping.

I don’t know what my counter parts are charging but I’m at 550.00 per 1000 and that includes shipping and insurance (when you order a 1000). So I am more expensive but not twice as much.

I’m not trying to talk you into anything. Just getting the pricing straight.

PVI lists Hybrids for 174.75 per 500 x 2 = 349.50 plus freight, a little better buy than Midway. $80.00 is quite a savings. I`d guess the freight would run $18.00 to round off at $370.00, or $18.00 per box difference on 1000. Worth every penny.....:)

Damn that is a hell of a price! I'd buy them there!

I have an opened box of Berger 105 hybrids (qty 490-ish) and JLK 115gr (qty 750) that I would be willing to sell. Send me a pm if interested.

Keep watching and looking, supply is getting a little dry.
I shoot both 105’s in my dasher and 108’s in my creedmoor.
So I feel your pain, i had the same issues with other brands with horrible groups and waste of time and money.

Bought 3 boxes at Bee’s Guns (near Pittsburgh, PA) not long ago and they had plenty in stock...

Speedy of SG Precision put me in touch with another of his local customers, that had just rebarreled from 6-dasher to straight .284win and he made me a good deal on what he had left, so I'm good for now.

The 105 Hybrids are coming back on line now, and we're starting (finally!) to catch up on some of the time lost during the move. It's completed now, nothing left in CA, and the plant fully operational in Mesa, AZ. It's back to where Walt started it all, and happy to be there. At present, it sounds like we may be adding a second shift in up production, now that we've got the space and machinery to do so. Hang in there, and you'll start seeing them on the shelves again shortly.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but getting out of CA was worth it, believe me!

Hey Kevin, y'all take care of the manufacture of ALL Berger bullets and WE will take care of the shooting of them! LOL! Great job on the move! A very wise idea indeed!!
