I did have to drill out the holes to the original size removing the cerakote that did get in them.
it doesnt take much to bind a trigger sear and change the weight. check around for that maybe you'll find a problem.

Thanks for the tip. I will examine that area better than see if that is the problem.it doesnt take much to bind a trigger sear and change the weight. check around for that maybe you'll find a problem.
Keep us informed. Some actions are tighter than others. Make sure the trigger slips in without forceThanks for the tip. I will examine that area better than see if that is the problem.
Seemed like it did. Just needed to drill out the pin holes a bit from the cerakote. All went well after that. I'll pull it out later and make sure I check tolerances. Putting a Shilen trigger in it later on today. May try the Remington trigger in a non cerakoted action.Keep us informed. Some actions are tighter than others. 1 3/4 or 2 lbs. He said he can safely take them down to 1 1/2 lbs . With no issues guarantees itWhat's the intended/expected pull weight on these when done?
Really where at ?I do my own, and 2-21/4 LB safely is the norm. I've yet to attempt to hone or respring one though. There's two members here that tune them for near half that price. As a matter of fact one of them has a few listed right now already tuned for that price.
Just talked to Neil Jones . I'm going to send him 2 triggers and see how he does $75 each I don't think it's too bad of a price. And he's going to thin the trigger shoe down also. www.neiljones.com
75.00 with shipping. I just contacted him. Not bad for a custom work trigger.I see you already got the right answer. He does amazing work. Better than a Timney.

The trigger on the Remington 700 trigger is wider than what I like so he's going to make it smaller like a jewel style trigger.Take the trigger shoe off, or is the factory trigger too thin?

These 2 700s have the Walker trigger adjusted at 19 and 20oz, very easy to adjust.
Rebarreled and restocked, used to be a Varmint Special 308. Arnold Arms did it for 65 bucks with shipping. Is the bottom one rebarreled with Classic stock? Very nice looking.
Gosh I love the older Rem 700 triggers wide shoe. For some reason I just do not like a thin trigger. The trigger on the Remington 700 trigger is wider than what I like so he's going to make it smaller like a jewel style trigger.
