brass choices

need some brass for my 6.5 creedmoor, i see there is pederson, starline, hornady, nosler and lapua. looking for some input that is a consistent brass and holding up, the hornady brass seems to be the poorest so far, had quite a few separate about 1/2" from the base after about 10 loadings. i have a box of lapua that i did not use yet. was considering getting another 100 or 200 either the pederson or starline any thoughts.

That'll happen when fired case shoulders are set back too far. Usually when the die is set to have the shell holder stop against the die bottom.

A couple thousandths clearance may fix this.

Do you have a way to measure cases from head to shoulder?

Or do some searching on how to set up a die to match your chamber without measuring it like a lot do around here if you dont have the proper tools just yet. Do not set up your dies per the instructions that came with them.

I do have ways of measuring the shoulder, from a fired case i normally bump .002, using the forester bushing bump die, i then use a .264 pin thru the neck for consistent neck tension. i am annealing every other firing.
any thoughts on the brass choices

This , and buy a headspace comparator to set your dies up correctly... With what your doing you are seeing case head separation from over working the brass.. .001 .002 is all you need on a bolt gun and with annealing your brass should be good for a long time...

In answer to the O-P's question. Both Peterson, as well as Alpha Munitions make 6.5 Creedmoor brass. I just received my first box of 308 srp brass, and upon initial inspection, they seen to be top of the line.
