Sinclair Comp Rest Base Plates - Running Low!

I'll be shooting off mine this Saturday in LG & HG in a 500M Fly shoot. I'm gonna be sloppy/ hard on it and try to shoot fast. Assuming it performs as I expect it to, we'll consider the design finalized and close the pre-orders on Monday, 3/6. Goal date to start shipping is week of 3/26. Thanks for all of the orders & support.
 
Here's what the current revision looks like/ the one that I'll be shooting this weekend. With some helpful input from others and some testing, the following improvements have been made:

  • Moved the front right leg (as pictured) for better weight distribution & more weight
  • Removed the slots under the center post and the factory carry handle. Once I had one made, I realized the carry handle wouldn't be used. We're using magnetic workholding, so I don't need the center post hole to clamp it down as I originally envisioned. This adds weight, too.
  • Moved the carry handle over for better weight distribution
  • Added two more front left (as pictured) holes for the folks that set up close to the edge of the bench.
  • Added the pink towel backdrop :oops:
I have a few more very minor tweaks that I may make. They wouldn't add to cost, and would make it a little more versatile/ give the user more options. Obviously, if these improvements sour your opinion of the product, we'll gladly refund your pre-order. We are trying to make the best, most versatile & cost effective product that we can, but I realize we probably won't make everyone happy.

Just released for production. Thanks for everyone's patience. Sketch of final design attached. We'll be closing the pre-order very soon. Still shooting for late March ship dates.

I like the way this rest plate looks Travis, I'd order one but I've already done a plate for my comp. rest last year. - Not as many options & as refined as yours. - You have "vision" and I applaud your efforts to provide what you do. - Your a craftsman indeed.

Thanks. It was a collaborative effort. @bpmoss1 deserves much of the credit for the final design.
 
Got mine today too! Nice workmanship, even if it is automated. You don't care, I know! I'm just a Post Whore! :0)
 
6 left. Get them while still available. It looks like the next batch will have to be quite a bit more $. Steel prices are absurd right now!
