Harrells 6PPC FL size die # ???

if you were gonna buy a used Harrells 6PPC FL bushing die is there any way to know which number would work with your chamber,,I have seen an #1 and #2 for sale lately but dont know which I would need,,,I guess it would be easier to just pay full price for a new one..

I have the #1 for sale and in all honesty spend the $$$ for a new one. Harrells ask that you send them 3(?) fired cases and they will choose one of their dies closest to your fired round. Money well spent doing it this way.

yes buy the new one. i my opinion they are certainly cheap for what you get.

just fireform the brass and send it in or does it need shot 2-3 times,,

Borrow a die from someone if you can to get to that point

To help answer your Q...in my case I have a .263 neck 6mm PPC and the die they sent me is a #3. You also get a custom brass fitting for aid in measuring shoulder setback

Don't size the body or bump the shoulder between firings. Neck size only to reload and fire the brass you will send to Harrell's.

Neck size doesn't help determine the die size. The neck will be sized by the proper bushing used in the Harrell's die. Die size will be determined by the fully formed unsized brass you send Harrell's.

How I do it.



Prime/charge/seat bullet and fire.....

Knock your primer out using a decapping pin and a tiny mallet (hammer).........SET a bullet on the powder and fire.

Repeat, until cases are sinificantly tight. GREASE YOUR BOLTLUGS!

Send to Harrell's for new die

Repeat, until cases are sinificantly tight. GREASE YOUR BOLTLUGS!

Send to Harrell's for new die
