Lapua 6BR 90 Scenar Factory Ammo

Yes, I have tried both the 90 grain and 105 grain loads. In a 1 in 8 twist 26 inch HV barrel, the 105 Scenars worked extremely well holding 0.25 to 0.30 MOA and the 90 Scenars holding 0.30 to 0.35 MOA for 20 rounds of each.

At the time there was one of all too frequent periods of "out of stock" for the Lapua 6BR brass that I needed for a test I wanted to do so I bought the ammo to get the brass. I wonder if "old-timers" is setting in so I can blame that for such silly decisions.

I bought 300 rounds.

I shot their 105 factory loads last year in my factory 6br since I was waiting on powder or something else. Figured it needed formed to the chamber anyways. They didnt do too bad at 200, but I never shot them at a match. Just got trigger time with the new rifle.

Shooting the Lapua 6BR ammo is a great way to have your cake and eat it too. My process is to shoot the Lapua ammo in a .272 chambered 6BR barrel. Then someone like DJBS can hydro-form the 6BR fired brass and convert to 6 Dasher/others. If you partially pull out the Scenar bullets, you can also reseat them to work in your barrel. I stopped a long time ago buying just 6 BR brass.
