●Under 21

Should THEY Also, be required to lay down Their Handguns, and "assault" rifles, and continue to serve US without??
WAKE UP!
This is about jamming a foot in the door, to disolve the 2A. Gotta test the waters somewhere. What's Next??
Like "Chicago" (haha - how ironic) sang, Only The BEGINING

I think in most states it's already the law that you have to be 21 to buy a rifle or pistol, usually younger for a shotgun.

You Nailed it with Parenting.
There is a completely different way about it now, than when We were brought up. Seems there is very little respect, responsibility, appreciation, or consequences instilled in more of today's youth than yesterday's.
Most (not all) are raised by electronics, and social media today.
That cheats them out of basic core values.

On a somewhat positive note for our side ,, I just read the Florida shooter only used 10 round magazines ..
I guess that blows a hole in a lot of laws already in place to stop "mass killings" .

Look up Jesse Randal Davidson.
Talk about "blowing a Hole", in arming schools.
They got All the bases covered! Left is working Hard.

Now their's another shooting in MI at a college just this morning, coinsidence it's with an older demographic? There is so much media push right now and they will focus on every incident involving students, education, and youth. It's going to be a tough ride for the 2a to get through this without getting pillaged.

From what I hear about the shooting today in MI was a domestic dispute that left two people dead not exactly a "shooting"

The country is so full of hypocrisy on so many levels it is amazing that anyone knows whether to SH*T or wind their watch.

You can kill all the people you want, as long as you murder people for the government when they tell you. The younger the better!!!
So you are saying US soldiers murder the bad guys? These type of posts continue to get out of hand because of a select few. I try to ignore some of these insane comments, but when they go beyond the pale, I have to call them out.....even if the moderators decide to silence the outcry.
I have friends who continue to have nightmares from their combat experiences. Comments like that can cause them to loose holding it together. Exactly the label the hippy college kids laid on our servicemen as they came back home 50 years ago.

You couldn't vote under 21? Where?

And beer isn't in the Constitution.

The voting age in the US was dropped to 18 yo from 21 yo in 1971.

The drinking age in most states at that time was 21 also. I know Louisiana was 18 when I was in HS.
After experimenting with an 18 yo drinking age for about 10 years, they wised up and went back to 21. Too many HS seniors holding beer parties and getting killed driving drunk. MADD was formed and got the law changed back.

The left want's to put all blame on guns, cops, society etc. when the main problem is that nobody is accountable for any of their own actions any more. It's always someone else's fault.
I was eating lunch about 30 minutes ago in a small restaurant here in Austin. A couple walked in with their little "angel" in tow. The parents went through the buffet line while the little one(about 5 yrs old) ran amuck. He climbed on the chairs and under the tables around other patrons while mom and dad just ignored him. They got back to their table and called him over to eat. He sat in his high chair for a couple of minutes, ate a few bites then decided to climb out and continue being a little heathen. Mom called for him a couple of times and he completely ignored her. The mom and dad just giggled like it was no big deal.
I got to thinking that in about 10 years when that kid is in jail for robbing or killing someone, mom and dad will be the first to blame society on letting their kid down. I guarantee neither one will ever look back on this day or any others like it and think "Hey, maybe WE let our little angel down by not being better parents"!
Unfortunately I don't think it's going to change.

WE are responsible for tolerating this type of behavior from children and parents. Restaurant management won't step in and do what they should and send them packing. I have been known to "make a scene". I don't have many friends, but my kids and grandkids behaved in public.

Fix it? No, completely agree with you there. The fixing starts with better parenting. I don't have any problem with raising that age if it deters even one sicko.

But how would you ever know? Ya sure can't count on crime reports, cause they report CRIMES, not "didn't happen". Can't count on potential perps reporting it..."Ya, CBS, I'd like to report that while I was trying to buy a gun at age 20 to murder a string of people those bigoted age discriminators at Walmart said i can't have a gun". So we have to rely on Chuck and Nancy to tell us it is working, but not enough....

Nice sentiment, but illogical
