NRA Support Thread

A few more to add to the growing list: Hertz, Avis and Budget, along with Allied & North American Van Lines.

It looks like United Airlines has joined the group of companies to be avoided. I can’t remember the last time I flew with them but they will get the phone call and letter from me.

"Insurer Chubb Ltd said on Friday that it would stop underwriting an NRA-branded insurance policy for gun owners that covers legal costs in self-defense shootings. Insurance company MetLife Inc ended an auto and home incentive program for NRA members, while several rental car companies announced they were ending discount programs for NRA members."

From something I just read on Yahoo linked off DrudgeReport.

Seems the effort to discriminate against us is increasing daily.

Delta Airlines has thrown down, as well:

Delta is reaching out to the NRA to let them know we will be ending their contract for discounted rates through our group travel program. We will be requesting that the NRA remove our information from their website.

I guess I will be cancelling our corporate account with them too. I'm tired of this crap. No more sitting on the sidelines.

My wife and I are both life members of the NRA. We are both active shooters. Today the NRA is under fire for no real reason. My NRA is about gun safety, education, hunting, and persuing your constitutional RIGHT to keep and bear arms.
The propaganda press and anti gun forces once again are teaming up. They are going after the companies associating with the NRA. The facts of the case not supporting they're argument, but they are going full speed ahead anyway . Don't forget George Soros, Bloomberg, the press and 95% of the liberals are funding this effort. They have billions behind them, we don't. Our 2nd amendment will disappear, if we don't stand together. Please if you can find the time and a few dollars show your support for our gun rights. They will never stop so we can't either. I will refuse to do business with those companies. My dollars will go to the NRA instead.
Thanks for reading my thoughts. Doug

I've never really seen a boycott work, I've been boycotting the movie and music industry for over 20 yrs, yet 3 times a week I go downstairs and turn the tube on. I guess my 125.00 a month cable bill renders me a hypocrite. Did cancel my sirrius radio subscription 10 yrs ago.
Only one on The List for me is Symantec, probably staying with it.

We wouldn't be having this discussion if boycotting didn't work, or at least the threat of it. That's the single reason. That said we need to be loud enough for these corporations to realize they will be losing out on sales if they continue from our side as well.

A fine gentlemen from another board just posted this. I must share. Please do the same.

Subject: An Obituary printed in the London Times.....Absolutely Brilliant !!!

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will beremembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense
lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense
lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense
took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense
finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense
was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

A portion of an e-mail I received today from the ISRA:

America, and much of the world for that matter, has spent the last half-century operating under the misguided notion that we have to learn to live with sociopaths rather than sociopaths having to learn to live by society’s rules. As a matter of principle, every ounce of compassion possible should be extended to our mentally ill citizens. However, the line must be drawn when the safety of the rest of us is at stake.

In keeping with what is now a disappointing tradition, Americans have responded to the Parkland crimes by circling the wagons and pointing all the guns inward. Fingers of blame are being pointed at the NRA, at President Trump, and at every other right-leaning institution. Indeed, fingers of blame are being pointed every which way – except at ourselves for our failure to learn the terrifying lessons that come with trying to integrate people with serious mental illness into civil society. And, in the aftermath of Parkland, it is chillingly evident that we are unable or unwilling to broach the subject of reining in psychopaths. Instead, the politics of the day are focused on individuals who pose zero threat to social order.
