As far as the question of press size needed....Many presses have a reducing 'bushing' that has internal threads of 7/8-14 and external threads of 1 1/4-12. This bushing threads into your press frame and has flats or a hex top for insertion/removal. I use my WTC die in a Redding Big Boss II with the bushing removed. I could do the same in my Rockchucker. I don't think it could be used in a Forster Coax; someone correct me if I am mistaken.
I use Whidden dies as well as Warner and like the Whidden dies too. No die can substitute for practice.Whidden FL die~ $150, skips die shim set - $15 vs. Warner Tool FL die for one caliber- $600.
If you can convince me it will cut my groups / score of my Whidden die produced ammo by ANY measurable amount I'll order one today. IMO a shooter would be light years ahead in the accuracy game by spending the $435 difference in practice ammo.
A Warner die will not fit in a Coax. The die body is too wide for the slot in the Coax.Interesting. i was thinking of getting one but if ut does not i will stick with my t7 and big boss II
No die can substitute for practice.
Good point.you are 100% correct about pracrice. however, in a sport that is equipment dependent such as ours, you can practice all you want but if you dont have the equipment to compete against the best you will never compete. practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. An excellent shooter can defeat an average shooter if he has sub par equipment but if an excelent shooter is shooting the best he will prevail most every time.

That theory may well apply to many shooting components such as barrels (foremost), bullets, properly bedded actions, scopes and stocks , but to discern a measurable difference between ammo produced from a WTC die vs. a Whidden custom die is a bit of a stretch......unless the more money spent on equipment gives your confidence a huge boost.you are 100% correct about pracrice. however, in a sport that is equipment dependent such as ours, you can practice all you want but if you dont have the equipment to compete against the best you will never compete. practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. !st time I ever got a look at those 2 guys. Good video...A lil' off-topic, but Mr. Warner's website has a video showing the use of his dies to form a wildcat .375 boomer. Well worth the watch.

P.S. If you're a tooling junkie, the massive press he's using along with the SIP jig borer in the background are additional eye candy![]()
