My Warner die. It is a work of art! The fit and finish are just superb.

The die uses the big threads. You take the insert out of your press. You can buy different size bushings. You can also use a bushing about .002 smaller then you need and use a mandrel to control tension. That is a good way because it evens out neck tension. MattI'm curious, and could't seem to find the answer on Warner's website so maybe someone who owns one of these dies can chime in.
Will these dies work in a standard 7/8 14 press, as the website says the press must accept 1-1/4 12 (or is this only for the magnum die?)?
Do these allow the use of neck bushings to control neck tension?
A standard 7/8-14 press won't accept the die. A standard neck bushing will not work. You receive a set of inserts with the die to fit your fired brass. The insert on the top controls the neck diameter and sizes the neck all the way to the neck-shoulder junction.I'm curious, and could't seem to find the answer on Warner's website so maybe someone who owns one of these dies can chime in.

I like my Warner die, it's all that.
Though some things really pissed me off!
I called them up to have a 20 cal wildcat done up and found out they don't do anything less than 22 cal. Well that was part of the reason I bought the die to begin with! Furthermore you have to buy a new die if you want to use a longer cartridge than the one die you have already for a shorter case. So there you go, !@#$%, if this had been explained to begin with I wouldn't have bought this die at all. Fortunately these dies had just came out so I only paid $375.
Too me it would have been good business to make a overly long die body from the onset to accommodate most cartridges, so all one must do is order the sizing inserts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was under the impression that 6mm was the smallest they go................
Is .22 the new small for them?????
I don't believe they even do 22 calibers.I like my Warner die, it's all that.

Both standard and magnum housings are 1.25-12, the 50cal is 1.5-12. We do not make any dies with 7/8-14 threads. Simply not big enough to accommodate the inserts. It is indeed an insert style system that allows for controllable neck tension. I should add that in addition to controllable head space, we also guarantee 0.0002 run out or better.
I believe the standard die will handle up to 30-06 length.I like my Warner die, it's all that.

That is true !!!!!!I believe the standard die will handle up to 30-06 length.
The is true !!!!!!
Last I knew they were $50.00, possibly they have gone to $75.00, I never asked for sure.Does anyone know what the inserts cost if changing cartridges?
