Nothing right now, but this spring I'm going to work up a new load for my Ruger 77, 7x57 and 154gr Hornady's. I have a sedate load now, but I'm going to use this rifle next fall and put some more zing (highly technical term) to her. Barlow

I've been loading for my 700 VLS in 7mm08 this week. 168gr Berger VLDs on top of H4350.

I also have a Ruger 77 in 7x57, a bicentinial (sp?)model. Very long throat.

My Ruger 77v in 22-250 has plenty 55gr NBTs ready to go. Don't know the manufacture date, bought it used in a gunshop in Burns OR in 1981.

Is your swift a 77v?

I am playing with a new one. 6.5 Grendel shooting hand loaded 123 Amax. Just loaded up some 95 grain Vmax for the rockchuck season. Shot my first chuck of the year day after Groundhog Day in Idaho with the Grendel and 123 Amax load. Neat little caliber and hit's hard.

I’m working on loads for my 22-243ai, 22-250 and straight .243 Win right now.

Speaking of the 22-243ai, does anyone have a good starting point for H1000? I’ve been messing with RL 22 but I’m getting some early pressure signs in this cool weather so I’m sure these loads will be trouble in warmer temps.

Making some 6x6.8SPC rounds to test in the new barrel.

Testing seating depths.
58gr Vmax
85gr SGK
70gr Hornady SP
105gr SMK just to see how much case capacity it ate up.

Correct on the AA side charger upper and BCG, Timney trigger and Krieger 1-8" fluted 24" barrel. Scope is a bit of an oddball Weaver European 6-24x42. The Kaw Valley Comp is the first comp I have tried and it does work. I also have come to prefer a side charger lower (better mousetrap IMHO).

Bottom rifle is a Savage 12, custom stock glass and pillar bedded with single shot adapter. 26" Shilen 1-14" twist barrel SSS oversize recoil lug and Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24.

I'm working on my 6-284. Trying Ram Shot Magnum with 105 Berger Hybrids. Very promising groups today at 3313 fps. No pressure signs but, for the sake of the barrel I'd like to keep them around 3200 fps. We'll see tomorrow.

Early today it was a ladder for 127 gr Barnes LRX for my Swede. Tonight it will be some 140 gr Nosler BT for my 7mmRM. Planning to try ringing steel at 390 yds tomorrow.

New .22 Dasher chambered barrel on a SA700. Bartlien 5R 8tw RemVar contour finished at 26". Stocky's adjustable comb Carbo Fiber. 80 grain A-Max with RL17 and that ended my load development. .264 LBC AR took a shine to the Sierra 100 gr. HP and Benchmark so it's ready. CZ 527 w/PPC boltface waiting on Krieger 8tw for my .224AR reamer and that's it for this year!

Shooting season is here in Mississippi. Loading 6.5x47 (140 Hybrids), 6 Creedmoor (105 HVLD), .300 Win Mag (230 Hybrid OTM)...and soon 6.5 SAUM.

I'm loading for several rifles:

1) .204 Ruger for my Sav. FCV (so far, 600 with 39 grain Berger)
2) .223 Rem for my Stevens 200 (so far, 400, with 40 VMax)
3) .223 Rem for my Savage LRCP (640, with 40 Nosler BT)
4) .225 Win for my VERY ugly Post 64 Mod 70 (350 with 40 Berger)
5) .243 Win for my Savage LRP (so far, 300 with 69 Berger)

I load for accuracy. Ground squirrels are small.
