March rings have a one year warranty.

I purchased a March 8-80x56 scope and a set of March rings on 12-26-16. Last week, I noticed a ring cap was cracked. A call to March got me the following answer, "We're sorry. The rings have a one year warranty and you are not within one year".

UPDATE 2-6-18..... March called me today and are shipping out a new set. Thank you March.

I worried they'd want me to send them back for exchange and this is our shooting season. I never thought they would refuse to replace the ring cap. Boy, is that crap. One month out of warranty and I'm S.O.L.? That's just poor customer service.:(
Good to know, poor feedback always factors into future purchases.
 
So......You purchased an item that broke after the warranty was up & you don't understand why they won't replace the out of warranty product.......:eek:.....I don't get it..........o_O

Confused? read this claim made by March...maybe they should make it a Lifetime warranty if they are so confident?

I am not confused about the Warranty.Just the mind set it takes to believe one is entitled in some way to "Extra Special" treatment when things don't go as they think it should when the rules are made quite clear. Seems like March provided you with a valuable learning moment to be pondered....;)

That's too funny. Reading the reply from March and yourself tells me you are their ideal customer.
 
I Totally get, and Agree with the whole Profit to stay in business, thing. No argument There, what so ever.
The issue is, this particular company has plenty of cushion, built in, for the Rare instance, should their "superior" product fail. A Reputable company would make Customer Satisfaction a Priority. They themselves, tout this as a Premium product, so the extremely Low expected failure rate, should be ratified, without issue. That is a very Small investment in their public perception.
 
the meaning,lifetime warranty,is just that,WHOS lifetime,so far mines 68 years,,idiot trying to rob my shop ,much less
 
One thing I have learned is to closely inspect all items ordered. A lot of times I order shooting stuff that sometimes I order as a back up and at times that particular item will sit for months before I use it.
 
Forget those and buy Burris then. Lifetime warranty, period. No proof of purchase, just a product that has the name Burris on it. Can't beat that!
