AMP with Aztec Mode

How do you know it is a PITA? I sent about four batches off. Just as easy as sending it to the next town. I had an email in 3-4 days with all the info on my batches. Amazing service.

I would like the upgrade myself but I'm afraid it will cost multiple limbs! We'll know soon, I hope!

I do hope its not that expensive. Multiple limbs?...one finger is all I'm willing to give up. Guys gotta draw the line somewhere.

I’m all in...how can u spend $1100 or more to set everything up than not the $250...yes its another cost...but shit happens...maybe maybe they do a issue offering for 1/2....hint

Spoke with a gunsmith that went to the show and has the AMP. They didn't offer a discount. Hmm.

Do I understand correctly that the upgrade comes with the autoloader and is included with the ~$250? Not sure if that is a foolish question.

If we knew the research and development that went into the Aztec mode we might think 250.00 was a pretty fair price or might feel like a dingbat for paying it. Either way the guys down under are in it to make some cash, the market will dictate if its a deal or not.

If your shooting a lot of common cartridges and using common brass than the info is already out there. If your buying brass at garage sales, forums, gun shows or whatever and have lots of brass not used by the mainstream then it makes sense.

If you just want it because it’s cool.. We’ll hell, its America, you can do that too.

I have an AMP and I only shoot my Lapua brass in four different calibers, and know all the required settings. Why would I need the Aztech mode? I don't pick up range brass.

It's there for the guys who may like to try different wildcats, plus don't forget there is always new brass coming out. Take this year for example, Peterson brass have several new offerings which will no doubt be popular with US competitive shooters. No one would have sent samples of the new Creedmoor, 6XC, 270wsm and 300wsm brass yet, so when that stuff is released, you've got the option of the AZTEC to develop a program yourself rather than sending brass off and waiting a couple of weeks for a program.

If you don't need it then there's no need to buy it, but I suspect having this option will satisfy quite a few shooters out there.

I don't see that you do. Talked with my gunsmith a few days ago and he told me that at least two of his customers use so much .223/5.56 brass that they tumble their brass in a cement mixer! Didn't know if he was messing with me at first. I suppose these are the people that would be interested in the upgrade.

Well put. Sums it up.
