Personal Electronic Target for practice?

I just saw a price list for the G2 (single target system) of just over $3000. I don't know how current that price is....email to US distributor pending.

I might see if a couple of range members want to go in on one.

Bob...got your ears on, good buddy?:D

About how much money are they talking??

Our current product, the "G2 ShootersPac" is approx. USD 3000. We are about to introduce a higher performance successor product, our "8-sensor G2 ShootersPac", which should be just under USD 4000

Anyone interested I just picked up a SMT system that I'm more than likely going to sell..haven't even used it, but I told John Myers I'd take it back in the fall and didn't want to back up on what I'd told him. The system has been used once by John. I picked it last week while down in Dallas, bought home and it's just setting here. John built a target frame(3ft by 4ft approx), calibrated the system. The system will come with custom target frame and stands for the frame and antenna's. Comes with all instructions, hard case, and extra sensor mounts. Everything is numbered. The way John set this up, it's very mobile, and will take about 5 mins to setup for quick shooting sessions. As posted above, the system without extra mounts is $3000. With everything already built, frames, stands, etc, I paid $3200. I'd be willing to sell it for that to someone who will use it. Email me at jsfowler@catc.net for more details, pic's. etc..

I have two different cameras already. I would like to investigate an E-target.

jhop....do you have one? How easy is it to transport/set-up? Cost? I don't mind spending a little money...heck..I could sell the two cameras and make a little dent in the cost:D.
Yes I do have one and have made a small 24x24 aluminum frame to mount sensors on 2 tripods Takes maybe 5 min to set up .As a club we have 12 targets total now. Once you test on one going back to a conventional target is really a pita as you get spoiled .The great thing is if you go for record while testing it will instantly give real time feedback such as group size and shot per shot group size . Very useful in load development

I definitely copy, Robin!

I bought my SMT in early 15. I can't tell you how many people have shot with me on the target. I have had 1 sensor fail the cost was $100.00. Wayne and Dan have been there for every issue and they were most often user caused but Wayne always answered the phone and sent you back down the correct path. I would not give up my SMT.

John
Whats the cost of those ?

Our club has three of the current 5 sensor G2's and I've heard rumors of the new 8 sensor version. The question I have would our current systems be upgradeable? If so, how much would this cost?

I have a SMT for a year and a half. It works great. I use it mainly for 600yd at a local club and have used it several times at 1000yd at another club. I have also used it in the mountains where we set up a personal 1000yd range. Wayne and Daniel provide great support of their product. Several members of our club have combined to share cost in buying two systems.

I just spoke to Bill above in Canada to try and help him with his Bulleye camera, I know the SMT is a better target system but for those that cant or dont want to spend that kind of money, the bullseye is a good compromise.
I tried different ways with the Bullseye to make it work and the best way for me was to put the ammo can on a tripod to get it off the ground 24" to 30" and when I get back to the firing line , I put the receiver on the roof of my truck behind me and the system has a clear line of sight and works as advertised.
I am not affiliated in any way with the Bullseye Co or owners, just trying to help those that are having connection problems with the Bulseye camera system.

I hope this helps.

Here's a question, What is a reasonable price for an accurate Target System? $2K, $3K, $5K??

We know plenty of people who have spent more on good glass.

I went in with 5 others on a SMT, it's been great all around. The sensors slip easily into brackets that are permanently mounted on a target board. Takes a little longer than setting up paper targets but is far superior to paper. I've used it for 600 yd load development mostly but it will get a lot of use now for practice and to help with my wind reading skills.

Craig,
I haven't had a chance to look at yours yet; how big is the frame where the sensors are mounted?
Thx!
Alex

FWIW - for less money -
I have the Caldwell Target Camera and use it at 600 yards frequently. I do keep track of the shots by hand on a piece of paper, but other than that it works fine. It takes me about 10 minutes to set up the paper target and then the Camera, which in my case involves driving to two different locations.

I have used it at 1000 yards and it worked fine also.
