I have two McMillan F Class Stocks and am very pleased with both, one houses is a 6BR/BRA/Dasher the other a straight 284. The 284 is now 2 years old and still on its first barrell and shooting great.
It was suggested to me recently by a fellow shooter at my club that I may want to be looking at a new stock in a couple of years for my 284 as the McMillan F Class stock degrades in it’s accuracy potential due to it not being able to handle more than 308 torque/recoil and the fibreglass starts to go of or soften due to heavier recoiling guns with more torque. I’m not disputing his claim as he’s been shooting much longer than me, my question is has anyone else had or heard of this issue before??
Cheers Rushty
