Backup load to H4350

I have a nice load with H4350, running a 147 ELD Match bullet. But getting 4350 is almost impossible. I would like a load that I can make up to mimic my 4350 load so I don’t have to change all my dope. Came up with z good accurate load with Varget, but I would have to change all my dope. I’m ave. 2665 with the 4350, by it seems Varget for a 147 is recommended at a much lower charge reducing velocity to about 2500+. Anyone have any recommendations on powder to get close to the 2665 FPS with a 147 ELD?

My ES for the Varget load that shot the best was 24. But, I was at the max recommended charge, and that was using a 130 ELD-m. I never checked my ES with the 41 gr H4350 powder because my accuracy was so good. I had a 5 rd group, and a number of other groups, with it that I just couldn’t duplicate with any other powder. This particular group I just swabbed the barrel, first rd was high, next 4 rds virtually in the same hole. The IMR4350 I tried was horrible with accuracy and ES was off the charts high. I’ve got a match in two weeks so I’ll have to try that RE16. Either that, or scramble to get new dope with a slower bullet with the Varget.

I'm using Accurate 4350 in place of H4350 at the moment. In the past I would never have done this because the powder has been outsourced to China, Czech Republic, Israel and God knows where else. But since 2009, after it was bought by Western Powders, this powder has been made in the IMR plant in Canada.

It is basically IMR4350 short cut. It still has a bit more temp senstivity than H4350, but shoots really well. The lot I have happens to be just a touch slower than the H4350 I have left.

Maybe I’ll try a lb if that too. How much slower? My favorite load is H4350 @ 41grs. Go duplicate velocity with IMR4350 I had to bump it up to 41.5grs. What do you think it will need with the Accurate 4350.

I'm using an extra 0.3 grains with 180g bullets from my 30-06 precision shooter. 57 grains.

Been perusing these forums for a while and just officially joined. IMR 4451 Enduron is supposed to be the “equivalent” for H4350 (which is virtually impossible to find). I feed a HOWA 1500 6.5 Creedmoor with 140 grain Nosler RDF (target rounds) over H4350 and shoots consistent 0.3 moa at 100 yards. Also performs sub moa out to 650 yards.

IMR4451 is looking good to me, except for this left flier I'm pretty happy with it. Flier might be due to me not seating those JLKs a bit deeper.

During the last component emergency I was forced to use whatever powder was available. I am not saying that my suggestions would equal the fine accuracy and extreme low spreads that would be attained with H4350 or perhaps IMR 4451, IMR 4350, or perhaps ACC 4350 but should another component emergency occur H414, R-S Hunter, and 4000 MR would provide equal velocities. But again, they may or may not provide winning scores.
