LC M852 Brass

Ran into a guy with a few wood cases of some 90 and 89 stamped LC Match. They all appear to have a dent about 2/3 of the way up the case, I'm assuming from a belt fed?

Does anybody know what a good/fair price to pay for about 4K brass would be?
(I'll get some pictures up when i fugure out mu phone)

I would say that it generally would not have been used in a machine gun. The match ammo generally comes in boxes of 20. It wouldn't normally be issued in links. In addition to the match ammo being more expensive, to be fired in a machine gun, it would need to first be loaded into links. Then again, if it is military surplus, anything could happen; an excess of ammo at the end of the year that needed to get burned up, some bored E-2/3's with time to hand load it into links...

I'm not sure on a fair price. I stocked up and haven't bought surplus brass in years.

Jeff Bartlett at GIBrass has 7.62 brass for $150 per 1000. LC match generally gets a little more. The dents may be from hitting the oprod handle.

The dents described are from the clip slot. The dents are normal and do not affect brass life. Load ‘em and shoot ‘em.
