I replaced my factory HS Precision(Bedded,free floated ) stock on my Rem 700 6mm Creedmoor semi custom rifle with a XLR industries aluminium/Carbon fiber Chassis . Former stock I could get occasional 1/2 MOA . But with new stock same ammo I'm getting 1/4 MOA first time on the bench . Why ?

Kyle at XLR is an exceptional machinist. Where a lot of chassis producers will make generic inlets for 700 pattern rifles or V-Blocks, Kyle's inlets are a perfect match. They are inletted exactly to dimensions including swept vs straight bolt handles, tangs, ect. He takes a lot of care in production and machining. I think this really help for a stress-free fit, and you have seen that in person. The difference in fit with my XLR Carbon, MPA, AI chassis is night and day.

I’m really leaning hard towards the XLR chasis for my F Open project. My options are limited considering that I’m using my FN SPR action as the basis of the build and XLR is one of the few that make a system to fit it (Win70 geometry)
Curious how your math was to get a .172 on that target you have calipers on, nice shooting.

I never could understand that, I see ones all the time in group competition, most are shooting 243, 6ppc, well the hole it makes is not 243, more like under .200, so the groups are not truly accurate, so why not go center to center t0 longest point, strange to say the least, guess it works for group shoot, I measure outside to outside, I shoot score, I want to know accurately if my group will fit in ten ring
I have the XLR Evolution and find it to be an excellent platform for F-Class competition. Just replaced my factory barrel with a custom Benchmark and I can easily hold 0.550" groups at 200 yards. Will be shooting my first 500 yard match with the new barrel on the 9th of December.
Benchmark looked to see if the action needed bedding and could find no reason to bed any part of it. That says a lot for their quality.

I originally wanted the Joypod, but will have to wait to get it. I am saving up for the Vortex Golden Eagle.

LOL. I just spent a ton on my new Benchmark barrel, truing and blueprinting the action. I will have to save up a bit for the GE. But really looking forward to getting one.

My hand guard is 14" long, but with the new barrel is looks shorter. But it isn't CF, mine is has the metal hand guard.
