I shoot on concrete top benches. I have a Bald Eagle style rest. What is the best way to keep the benchrest in place?
Add a triangular steel 1/2 plate and keep the points on your feet.
If your points are sharp it should not be jumping around. Is your rifle able to slide in the front bag easily? What is making your rest move? The friction between your stock and the front bag should not be enough to move it.
Is the forearm on your stock trapped on the front rest, or, does it slide forward and rearward easily?
Back off the tension screws on the front bag side plates. It is is mostly when I push it forward to the delrin stop. The rear leg bucks up.

same here^^^Which BE rest? I have the cast iron Slingshot and it doesn't move at all.
Baby powder on leather. On Cordura, I occasionally spray Sailkote. my bench stocks have a smooth finish, either paint, gelcoat, or stock tape, the latter for stocks that see a lot of use. For hunting stocks that have rougher finishes, I have other tricks. Generally the idea is that a stock should not catch and then break free, but rather start moving with about the same effort as is required to keep it moving. I only use enough side tension to keep the rifle from side to side motion but not enough to cause extra resistance to sliding.Do you powder your front rest? Or use spray?
if you have your rifle way forward in your rest it will buck, need only the front couple inches of your stock hanging over, plus it makes it shoot better, check recoil and adjust accordingly
