Harris sling stud adapter for a Versa Pod spigot

Is there an adaptor that will allow the use of a sling stud mounted Harris on a Versa Pod spigot (the type that sticks out the front of the fore end of the stock)? I don’t really care for the Versa Pod that came with the rifle.

Thanks!

what Rifle? most rifles that came with Parker Hale or VersaPod studs have Anschutz rails in the forearm. Does yours?

Adapter? None that I know of. At least nothing shows on the website that would work. What kind of rifle? Can't you just remove the versa pod unit and use an existing sling swivel?

Hmm. First guess is it looks like a Steyr stock. That might take some work... I think you may be S.O.L. without someone reinforcing the stock and putting a stud (s) in.

Interesting install to say the least. Not sure how any adapter would work with the Harris needing to be tightened up against the forearm. I'd say by the time you cobbed something together, you'd have enough to buy another stock. What's the make, model and caliber?

Edit: On closer inspection that looks like a tupperware stock of some sort. May be better and cheaper to junk the stock and start over.

I think you will have to add a swivel stud to the bottom of the stock to get a truly stable platform, but I could be wrong. It appears as though it wouldn't interfere with the present config. If the stock does not allow for a screwed in type of swivel then there are the types that have a T nut that secures from the inside.
As an alternative, you could add a Piciatiney rail which there are adapters that attach to provide the swivel.
Should be able to find something on Midway, do a search on Swivel Stud.
There are also Versa Pod Spigot Adapter that allows for the Bipod, but not sure how stable it would be.

Doesn’t that Big Dog adapter go into a female receptacle on the AICS chassis.

it looks like it, but that's is the pic you posted. I'd call and see if they will sell it without the stud installed. If you have a McMillan, just put a T nut in the forearm and screw a stud in.
