6BR- Ackley Improved 40 degree

Gentleman I need some ideas where to get resizing die for the 6mmbr 30improved degree I am going to play with temporarily I can improvise overcome an adapt but if it works good I would like the proper set up I don't think Harrell precision can provide what I need thanks. P.S I will contact an send cases to make a reamer to PT&G for a gauge an reamer.

Seater can be made from a Wilson blank, or one of their stainless dies and your reamer....

Sizing dies...Whidden, Neil Jones, Warner tool.......Etc.

Not really sure what you are talking about. Is this a 30cal BRA?

For temporary/exploratory use, an undersized Wilson neck sizing die modified with your reamer should suffice. You should be able to pick up a used one for a reasonable cost. Wilson dies and an arbor press make load development at the range much easier.

If you're looking for good well fitting sizing dies, I'd go to Whidden first.

You can use them permanently as long as you have another die like a small base 308 to occasionally size the web area.

Nice looking cases. Were those formed in a cut down Dasher die, custom die or fire formed?

Thanks. Those are four times fired with only neck sizing. I'm using a .463" shoulder so I expect to need a custom sizing die. I wanted cases that matched the chamber as close as possible, hence firing four times.

I'm looking at a 6br variant for silhouette shooting. With 105/110 grain bullets for the rams, @ 2600 fps, stay with the normal 6br or the 6 br-ai?

Id stay with the BR
Used to shoot a lot of HP silhouette back in the day. Started with a .308 then switched to a 243, 105s and a hot load. Center mass hits on the rams often would only rock them. Luck for me, I seldom hit center mass. Usually head, butt or foot, so they would tip over:D. If they do not fall you get a "0". Something to consider. Not any problem with the closer, smaller targets.

I agree with the knocking the rams over part. 6x47L with 115's going 3050 fps should help fix that.

I am aware of the issues at rams with the 6mm bullets :D for now gonna go with the 6br for the lighter recoil. Thanks though

Ya, I agree. If I were to start up again, it would be a Dasher. Main reason for the Dasher? Accuracy and low recoil. 6BR or a bra second choice.
