Repeal the NFA act, for suppressors or all, right, even ardent republicans will not stand for automatic weapons being used in these killings. Shootings with suppressors, go over big too.

This looks like the magazines he used and a bump-fire stock. Some of the media said he had converted them to full auto and even showed a full auto receiver. Wonder why he had so many guns? 1 rifle would have done the same. And if he had several and all the magazines, why the long pauses in between the strings of fire? For maximum firepower, why wouldn't he have all rifles loaded and just grab another and keep going?

Still a lot of different stories on the news. I still hear he shot himself and also that the police blew the door out and shot him. Why are there 2 broken out windows with one of them broken out at the top? I saw that he had worked for the government, that he was a millionaire, that he was a genius, and that he was was taking a drug linked to violent outbursts.

I can't comment on specifics but, to me, this whole thing simply doesn't pass the smell test. Sending money to the Philippines etc. etc. Can't say what but this goes beyond someone going off the deep end and shooting up a concert. We may never know. . . . .

Anybody that thinks they need one is a threat to society and not a responsible gun owner like us. An argument for fully automatic weapons only threatens the good guys rights. That's us.

As far as my feeling Bump fire and high capacity clips should only be had by owner of a class 3 licensed owners .
The shooter could qualified for both .

Coincidentally, I was just at the range on Sunday and there were two 50 cal machine guns (tripod mounted), one 50 cal Barrett semi-automatic, and several full auto M16s being shot. I watched these guys for a while and honestly didn't see anything other than lots of money going up into thin air. The 50s missed everything between 700 and 1000, and the M16 guys just threw up a bunch of dirt in front of and around the 300 yard steel. Seemed pretty pointless to me. I'll take my 308 bolt gun and hit the 700 yard steel 90% of the time that I pull the trigger. I just don't get the appeal.

I tend to agree. I don't think fully-automatics should be out there on the streets. Too risky in the wrong hands. Yet again, I can easily fire 4-5 reasonably aimed shots a second with my AR.

I don't want a bump fire either or the double fire trigger. But what do you consider a high capacity magazine? In Ohio you aren't allowed over 31 rounds. I wouldn't want any more than that, too heavy to hold up for long and if I can't take care of business with 30 rounds, something is wrong. A person that has practiced can change 10 rounders out extremely fast, as quick as about a 1 second change. I doubt if a 10 round magazine limit would deter any mass shooting. And if someone is even reasonably quick changing magazines, no one would have time to rush him.
I built my AR15 for one purpose, self defense at 100 yards or less. Hopefully it will never will be needed for that purpose. But in today's world, who knows what tomorrow will bring?
