When things like this happen my thoughts always drift back to the good old days when I was much younger and we went about our lives as children just enjoying our day.
Everyone had feelings for God and Country,but now I have to wonder what the H$$L is wrong with people and the world as a whole.

I pray for the victims and their families of this tragic massacre. This sort of thing has escalated over the last decade and where it is going is anyone's guess. It is a sad commentary to our current state of affairs concerning our culture.

I did read an article about an FBI statistic on the escalation of violence in Chicago, up 86% and Baltimore up as well. The opining on that was that the police have all but quit policing high crime neighborhoods because of the blowback from radical groups. I do not think this applies to this mass shooting but it is informative in that this shooter had some quarrel with society as a whole whether it was a radical Islamist or just another home grown maniac bent on the destruction of society as a whole.

It is getting harder to hide from the signs of militancy when the NFL is openly protesting the National Anthem and our Flag. Hollywood and the major media outlets have been fanning the flames for years now and where this is going is anyone's guess.

My prayer is that America can wake up and decide that we are all connected to something good and no matter what our differences are we are first and foremost Americans. We should be celebrating each other instead of looking for things to separate us.

Shooter had 10 rifles with him; from what they're saying it sounds as though a lot of planning went into this. He'd been at the hotel since the 28th. Room was on the 32 floor with a perfect view of the concert.

Doesn't have to be an AR15, but I just had a "go around" with another member regarding his claim of how easy and inexpensive it is to build or buy an AR15 these days, even buying them at your local Gun Show for $475 complete and ready to go. But it is truly sad that innocent people have died or were injured and the rest of us "Law Abiding Gun Owners" will now bear the brunt of some CRAZY's actions, regardless of what he used. And how ever that IDIOT got his weapon(s) up into a high rise hotel (regardless of any hotel policies), he's done the deed to harm others. Did a quick check with a ballistics calculator and my pocket 380. Hard to see the yardage from crowd but guessing 300 yards and 300+ ft. up. Most I could figure with a BC of .1 at 800 fps muzzle would be a drop of around 20 ft +- and maybe energy of 50 ft. lbs.

Forget responding with a small concealed carry. Know I tried to use my Ruger LCP at 100 yards and it hit more than a foot low. Without rifle response, there is near none reasonable.
