What were the most common calibers at the last Ottawa shindig

I reviewed all the ammo declarations and Rod has it right; straight 284s were most common in F-O, followed by 284 Shehane, then 300WSMs, 7-270s, and RSAUMs.

Wade nailed it in F-TR. ;)

By far, the most popular caliber was the .308 Winchester as Wade said earlier. There were literally tons more F-TR shooters than F-BBR (Belly Bench Rest) shooters.

Hey Denys, viewing the F-T/R scores of late, have the F-T/R shooters either right at or within a hairs-breath of F-Open scores. They both use the same targets which leads me to believe that the F-T/R shooters, as a "general rule" have tuned their loads better and have become better shooters than most of the F-Open guys. The reason I say this is because many of the cartridges used in F-Open easily eclipse the best .308 loads, yet the scores are so very close! So this tells me that the "T/R Shooters" are better at F-BBR than the Open guys are! LOL!!!

Ben, I like to tease folks but F-BBR is very demanding to the point where you can't afford a single mistake. Extremely competitive.

I saw the F-BBR team captains with hammers and sticks on the line. I guess they use that on shooters who drop a point. In F-TR we only use soft cushions to punish the shooters.
