New long range scope

i need one or two new long range scopes. I see everything is getting so expensive. Any suggestions?
I'm loooking at the sightron 6-32x56 w moa-h reticle.
Any idea who has the best prices?

Like Matt said, call them. The can offer you prices the manufactures won't let them advertise.

The SWFA 3-15x 42 mm is a nice scope. Same with the fixed 10X. Lots of good reviews on youtube for them. Good prices too. You can get them for $699 for the variable and $400 for the fixed.

Sightron SIII 8-32 with the LRMOA reticle may fit your needs with out breaking the bank. I had one a while back on a 300RUM and had zero issues.

I just bought a Used Burris XTRII MRAD but the new version can be had for about a grand. After looking through it I am pleased! It's a 4-20x50 not quite as large as you are looking at but they do make this scope in a larger power at around the $1500 price I think Opticsplanit.com had it!

I have a Sightron 10X-50X w/ MOA type reticle that I use for 600 yard competition, and I consider it one of the best values. It may not have the optics of some of the $3000 models, but the optics are good and they hold POA very well. If your budget is a little tight, look at the Sightron. James MockDSCF2011.JPG

Get the best scope you can afford. The innards are mor important than the glass if you're going to turn knobs, and if the scope does hold zero or track repeatably it isn't worth your money, no matter how cheap it is. Don't put 4 grand into a rifle and put a low end scope on top. That said, haven't seen any bad recommendations here, but you need to figure out what your scope is used for - an FTR scope would probably not be what you'd want on a PRS rig, for example. There's a few threads her and on the hid about selection of scope for intended shooting.

Finally, look at Vortex.

Whats been discussed is fine for paper targets. If you're shooting a more rapid fire situation, larger steel targets, spotting your own misses, or hunting then a lower power ffp scope will serve better. The Sightron 6-24 ffp is an excellent value.

I have the LRMOA-H reticle on 2 Sightron 10-50x60 scopes. Love that reticle.

On one occasion, I needed 12.5 MOA come up for a shot on a groundhog. I didn't feel like going up to 12.5 and possibly forgetting I had made one turn plus on the turret, so I dialed up 6.5 then held on the third hash mark (6MOA on 24x). Dead groundhog.

I have two Sightron scopes 10x50 and 8x32 ...they have worked perfectly on prairie dog shooting
at long range for a few years now...When I need another scope I'll be buying Sightron again. :)
