Pesky Ground Hog's NOW Bee's

Well the back yard was invaded buy Ground Hogs. I shot four of them off with the Marlin 25N the last week maybe a few more but I have not seen them. So weed wacking I found a hole where I did not know a hole was Big 10" in dia and I cant see how deep but is full of Bee's. I could not even finish weed wacking and had to retreat..Dang them bee's are hard to hit with a rilfe...So what do I do?
What kind of bad As* Bee's are in the ground in a angry swarm? Hmm have lots of gun powder kind of dreaming up a paper towel wrapped up full of shotgun powder with a lighter fluid soaked string. throw it down the hole and light the string...Ah flash fry them. How do I get rid of that many Bee's.

Yellow jacket wasps, not bees.
I think the sleep at night a piece of water hose and Bug killer works . Take a Piece of tuff r cut a hole in it just the size of the hoses at night start the hose in the hole and push it in the hole with a screen over the top end of the hose Carefully fill the hose with bug killer . They can be Two feet under the ground. The some have two or more holes .
Good luck Larry

Spray gas on them. Pump up garden sprayer.. kills em dead. Probably wasp not bees... but the africanized bees people gas them, or when your hive get way too mean, gas em..

Then you can always light it for fun, but no need.

Back before catalytic converter's I have put a hose down the hole and let the car exhaust do the job . Larry

Sounds good but don't know I could come up with enough bug killer to fill that hole to do much good ? seems complicated.

Take a 2 liter bottle and cut the top off of it about 3" down from the shoulder. Fill the bottom portion half way up with heavy sugar water and mix it. Put the tip back on upside down. Set it near the hive after dark. The bees will enter the bottle thru that hole and drown while trying to get that sweet water. The bottle will be loaded with bees after a couple days. Throw it out and repeat. Not an immediate fix but it works.

Yellow Jackets are the meaner than grizzly bears. Gas works, but kills the grass in your yard. Plug the hole, at night, with a 2 liter with just a bit of gas in it. Like a cup. The fumes will take care of it. Sevin dust works but takes a while. You have to use a liberal amount and repeat if it rains. Lighting gas once poured into a hole is youtube worthy.
" Here, hold my beer.......I got this." FOOOOOOOOOF! Be careful.

Honeybees don't build their hive in the ground, but yellow jackets do. Sometimes just a big flat rock on the entrance hole will do. Of course a good soaking with wasp killer in the hole before the rock goes on doesn't hurt.

We have a ground nesting bumblebee that I have gassed with ether starter fluid that seems to get them all. I have always done it after dark so they are all home.

.....or you can do what I did with the ground bees outside my garage door, bad place for them

get a can or 2 of wasp and hornet killer, a cotton cloth, rubber gloves and a glass bottle. spray can into bottle so it pours down the hole. works way safer than GAS!

may be extra safe with glasses so the spray don't hit the eyes.

yes, do at night, spraying anything down the hole wont get to the bottom where it needs to be.

Find something that will plug the hole. Pop a road flare, down the hole with it, plug, walk away. Do this at night as others have suggested. "Chucks probably won't even return to that hole. dedogs
