Cooper Rifles

For all you guys that own Cooper Rifles................How long did it take to get your Rifle from the time you ordered it?

Greg

You might check on the Saubier forum, some of the guys there seem to have one of everything Cooper makes.

Hal

The only one that I actually ordered took 5 months ( a JSR in .17 HMR with upgraded wood / bolt handle / and fluted barrel ). The others I have bought off the shelf.

I used First Stop Guns in Rapid City. They were great to work with.

You are better off buying one off gunsamerica as all the premier dealers sell them there or gunbroker. There are alot of ads and chances are you will find one you like.

Scheele's Outdoors store, a local chain in MN and the Dakota's usually keep a healthy supply on hand. I don't know what you're looking for exactly, but might we worth giving them a call. You can Google them.

6 months as promised by Cooper and the dealer, who was First Stop Guns. It was a Varmint Extreme in 6mm.

Like Jayman_10X wrote, Scheel's stores usually each have 5-10 on display. Coopers are really all about the wood. Buying on-line gives the buyer a chance to see the wood before buying. Also, limited wait times. Of course, if you want special features you are going to have to order and wait.

NJ Firearms guild usually has a tremendous selection of coopers in stock, last time I was there they had maybe fifteen on the shelf. That's where I got mine.

I have bought (5) new Cooper Rifles from the local Cooper dealer and everyone took between 5 and 6 months to get from the time I placed the order. That is just what the dealer told me when I ordered them. I believe they are all pre-sold as the build them. In other words I believe every rifle they build somebody somewhere has ordered it. They don't have unsold rifles at the factory that dealers can buy from. If you are in a rush. You can check around at some of the big Cooper Dealers some of the have a lot of rifles in inventory in most calibers unless you want something special like (high grade) rifles. Myself I don't mind waiting to get just what I want and it is kind of fun waiting for your new Cooper to come in.

I just started breaking in this Cooper 25-06 yesterday. Not all the groups were this good but, it is showing promise.

I have a question for any cooper owners out there any help would be appreciated I have an opportunity to get an cooper model 52 Jackson Hunter in 300 Win Mag, can anyone please tell me what they know about this particular rifle please???

I got mine from the Scheels in Billings, MT., took 6 months, I had the time to wait, great gun, would by another!

Like the others have said, if you can find one that you like, buy it and avoid the wait. I custom ordered a couple, it takes about 6 months to a year but worth it.
