So what are the winning guys running for cartridges?
284 Shehane Erik won with his chopped off F-Class target rifle first match. (now not compliant)
Tournament 2 was won with a 6XC
Tournament 3 was won with a 6 Creedmoor.
6's and 6.5's made up the grand majority of cartridges that advanced and were in the finals.
I'm running a 7 SAUM. My opinion too much rifle for this match even with muzzle brake. and I do agree with the above about the single shot has no advantage on accuracy. In fact, I believe a repeater has the advantage (in this format) with the ability to stay on the rifle and you can burn through all of your rounds in 45-90 seconds. some even finished much quicker than that. I didnt care for the rule as I had to build a rifle to meet the requirements for this match format. But i'm happy I did. I really enjoyed the match, the shooters that I visited with and the organizers are great folks.... So was a great investment for me. I hope they continue to gain more shooters and sponsors to support the matches.
