Bench Spotting Scope Mount

I shoot in FCSA Matches from a bench. I'm wondering what scope mounts are you guys using to mount your spotting scope to the bench?

I want to mount my scope so that I will be able to move my head from my shooting position and look through the spotting scope (to help assess conditions). I've seen a couple, but never had the opportunity to inquire about what mount they were utilizing.

Thanks

I made my own from an old camera tripod head from a garage sale and a pipe clamp from HD

If you can find a tripod head you like and draw up the shape and design you want I am a welder by trade,,, "disabled" but have all the equipment and aluminum or stainless is no problem or powder coated if you like! I have a polisher for that ultra finish if that's what you really like! But you find the head you like, I can make you a spiffy base to go under it at whatever weight you want, light or heavy! I can be creative, and I have time,,,, lots of it!

Thanks all, for the pictures and ideas.

Paul, Once I figure out which direction I am going with I may contact you for some help. I like the heavy pipe setup cdiver has (in his pictures), but wonder about ease of adjustment to get the scope in the correct position for me. I too am disabled and flexibility, is my major limitation. I also need to figure out which "head" will best suit my application.

Thanks again,

Jim

Jim just to let you know the pipe in the pic is longer than it heeds to be for BR rifle. I made it that long so that I can use the scope whilst standing for pistol shooting. On my set up once you have the correct height set on the pipe it stays there and all adjustments up/down left/right are done from the tripod head. Paul having machine shop capability will probably see how it works. A big difference in price from the commercial stands
